Stress, Pressure, Unattainable Expectations

Pros

Job started out to be a great job, they even paid for relocation. Salary was very nice, most made in this career. Offered year-end bonuses. Benefits package was great, vacation days, etc.

Cons

Worked 10-12 hour days, evenings, and on-call for weekends which meant little time with family. Management had expectations for unattainable results. Like my job performance reviews were evaluated on tasks I had no control over, employees doing their jobs but those employees didn't report to me and I wasn't their boss. Also, sales or contracts meeting expectations, but I had nothing to do with sales/contracts.

Disappointing

Pros

Salary appears to be good, but you have to work 60 hours or more a week to do everything that is expected of you. If you have a family or social life, this isn't sustainable.

Cons

Poor management, heavy workloads, shady business practices, benefits aren't that great, poor work/life balance, company doesn't follow it's own ethical guidelines.

Pros

Salary initially "appeared" to be ok

Cons

* Salary is good but you'll be worked very hard. Expect to work 80-100 hours plus per week. * Most people work from home which has many cons: 1) Inability to learn from colleagues 2) Out of sight - out of mind, therefore you're not going to be missed if they decide to layoff employees, 3) It tends to attract many parents so you'll have to work around them taking the kids to school, hospital etc 4) Since it's a global company, expect to have meetings at 1am and/or 5am frequently. You will never be able to get a proper nights sleep and you can forget about seeing friends and family while you're working here. * The company cares far more about its share price than its employees - so they don't mind mass layoffs * Since you're most likely to work from home, you may never meet the people you're working with so they're more likely to not care if they're rude or degrading
