Chaos and extreme bureaucracy

Pros

Good pay to start with

Cons

Chaos at this company never stops. To add to overall stress caused by that, management is dishonest and behaves like they own their employees. Not listening to feedback. It’s my way or the highway. All processes and procedures will make your head spin before you can accomplish anything useful and achieve any progress, and then take a fall for it if anything is not on par with the newest requirements from 5 min ago. Very difficult to keep up with the latest nonsense, which as a rule, adds no value. And of course, known to many, layoffs never ever stop.

Tyco Security - No synergy

Pros

Company Car - Salary - Office space and supplies Denver training is top notch. Product and services are needed. You are always busy building quotes or making new opportunists.

Cons

The new brand for Security is Johnson Controls. This is a weak brand in a crowded space. You get next to no leads. Your cold calling leads to people asking "who did you say you were with again?". Sales process can take 10 hours to build a single job, using 90s software. Jobs are usually outbid by 90% of competition. Your main product lineup is company owned equipment. Competition offers full suite of products. On the job training is weak due to experienced reps guarding their time and knowledge to protect their own sales. Leadership from top to bottom is quite. Literally, nobody communicates. Email is slight in this company. Product reps struggle to train due to lack of buy in from leadership. So support suffers. I gave good time to make this position work. I was loyal and positive. I kept waiting for a positive to present itself. One never did. If you are not in the industry of building security then stay away. Other companies are not likely better. Mergers and acquisition have eroded this space. Johnson Controls will likely sell away the Tyco employees stealing their company owned products. More drama in the industry. Lastly, and import, the benefits are terrible. 24B a year and no company support with health care. You will get better benefits in many companies. Know you are sacrificing income because your benefits will cost so much to actually use.
