Pros

K12 has a history of success that relies on reputation. K12 is very attentive to students' needs. K12 does an extraordinary job with managed public schools, and virtual academies.

Cons

Company's history gets in its own way for growth ("we're the biggest, so we must be the best. We don't need to do anything new"). K12 is a reactionary company, vs. a proactive environment ("What can we do to make things better? What can we do to sustain what we have?") K12 is used to no-competition so it does nothing for employee retention/career growth. HR dept. is out of touch with other depts.
