The tasks were monotonous, management were not very supportive, lacked feedback for tasks and duties. Customers were often very abusive.

Upper management treats store management like slaves. Your scheduled hours are fifty, however, you are usually expected to stay over closer to sixty, and no overtime pay. They will crucify you over a simple mistake, demean and talk down to you in from of staff, and customers, and punish you over petty things. They are always threatening to "terminate" people, and that gets kind of annoying.(even though they won't, and when you try and quit they beg you to stay and make all kinds of promises that they never keep.)
