Pros

Large company with great benefits. In the heart of Silicon Valley with some of the brightest professionals in the world. When times are good for the company they are usually good for the employees.

Cons

Being in the semiconductor industry means large swings up and down. KLA-Tencor is more than willing to cut headcount to satisfy shareholders. The frantic pace of work never seems to let down. Stress at all levels.

Pros

It's(or was) a good company to start with after college. But they get you in cheap. You have to work hard for long hour. The time was good before the merge but went down hill afterward. You could gain experience at KLA and management supports all the training you want on job related or not. When you worked there after three or four years, the people came in with you were all gone. Let you feel it's time for you to leave. If not, you will be training the new guys with higher salery than you. Because they won't care once you are in.

Cons

It's very hard to get up the ladder.
