Pros
Pay is very good compared to other SA roles in medical sales. Car allowance, mileage paid, and KLS offers a highly respected product in the surgeons eyes.
Cons
Only 10 days of hands on of training for new sales associates, everything else you have to figure out for yourself. The first 5 days is phase 1 training, usually about a month into being in your role- which was great. But then you’re thrown back into the field without any real help or mentor ship. Your consultant is too busy to help you understand things, or answer questions. And SA’s are hesitant to ask questions to avoid looking bad. The SA/SC relationship needs to be fixed. Many of them are the same age with the same qualifications. They are not your boss, so they need to stop acting like it. If you’re a sales associate, you are not viewed as crucial to the business, and are often left out like a step child.
