Pros

It's obligatory to do rotational work. You get to work in different countries. Each rotation lasts for 3-4 years abroad and go back to Korea for 2-3 years. Your position also rotates so you can really experience new industry and responsibilites. KOTRA can be a great workplace for someone and at the same time the worst place according to your personality.

Cons

The fact that you get to experience new things regularly makes it difficult to be an expert in on sector. There are significant differences in employee benefits based upon where you are hired or under which modality your contract is.

Not bad for a Intern Experience

Pros

Working Hours 9 AM ~ 6 PM Interns get extra points after finishing the Internship. (5 months when they apply for a full time job in KOTRA.)

Cons

Boring and just Boring. Honestly Interns spend most of their time just sitting on a chair. Doing nothing. Pretty much a hierarchy (not as bad as other korean companies but still) Terrible food, and if you want to take public transportation is just very very very stressful.

Overseas working opportunity, job security, public company, could get a chance to promote trade

Cons

No one takes responsibility, only good connection guarantees good overseas region, too frequent department changes
