Pros

Some of my co-workers were nice.

Cons

I witnessed several instances of sexual/racial harassment, which I brought up to management (they do not have an HR department - which is a big red flag!), and each time it was ignored and I was gaslit about how each incident wasn't actually harassment. Furthermore, I witnessed a gender pay gap while working there, females were consistently paid less than their male counterparts. Lastly, upon a staff member reporting a workplace safety violation to OSHA, management proceeded to interrogate staff in order to figure out who filed the complaint. I would avoid this place at all costs!!

Flat organization = Favoritism

Pros

Paid for OT, can bill to comp time or get paid out Variety of interesting projects Flat organization (if that's what you want) Decent insurance and 401k contributions

Cons

Some management personalities are toxic to work/life balance OT pay rate is based on starting salary, i.e. it does not always increase with subsequent salary increases. Managers will take credit for work you did, or will throw you under the bus No clear path to becoming midlevel or upper level staff. Favoritism is commonplace.

Pros

Great place to work for as entry level - up to 3 years. Will get ample opportunities to work on different kinds of projects and clients. Direct daily interaction with clients, consultants, contractors, reviewing agencies. Will get a chance to manage projects and clients in less than 5 yrs. Some flexibility in working hours allowed. Overtime compensation available. Fast paced learning environment.

Cons

Very slow to almost no career progression for mid-level employees due to flat company organization. Bureaucracy in management committee affects career advancement. No authority given to project managers leading to dysfunctional project team and often conflicts - An offshoot of flat company structure. Promises made to employees at all levels never followed upon. Management consists of mediocre managers as leaders. Mediocre benefits and poor compensation - under par with industry standards.
