Pros

KVC really took a chance on me and I am so glad they did. I really feel like I have found my place here; there’s such a sense of belonging. Management is so supportive, I always feel like I can go to my managers when I need something. I feel cared for as an employee in every aspect; my voice is always heard by somebody. Teamwork is so incredibly important for this job, having these characteristics are so important for a company like this and I’m glad to be able to say I work here. I plan on working here for a long time. The kids make it even more worth it! Some of them will never forget you.

Cons

As an employee I can truly say that we all do a ton of work, however, behavioral health technicians spend the most time with these kids. We do so much with them, some sort of raise system would be nice.

As an organization that helps people achieve mental health wellness, it's imperative that we take care of our own employees. Consider using the Q12 employee engagement survey to bring attention to Q03: I have the opportunity to do what I do best or Q05: Someone seems to care about me as a person. The results will open doors for change and progress in these areas when you answer honestly and share your voice in the State of the Team meeting. Retention is also very important to us.
