Salary, disrespect, dignity, no communication from leadership, no focus on retention, treats everyone like they ARE replaceable, always on power trips, racial inequalities, the list goes on & on & on.

Thank you for your review. We are saddened to hear about your experience at KVC. We've been working hard to build a positive, and supportive culture using research-backed approaches. But, it's clear we still have work to do. We urge every employee to share their voice in our Q12 employee engagement survey that is conducted twice a year, so that managers can be held accountable and work on progress within their teams. We actively work with managers and upper management by providing monthly trainings and coaching sessions so they can better support their teams. Diversity, equity, and inclusion is very important at KVC, which comes hand-in-hand with fairness, respect, and racial equality. Each KVC business unit has their own DEI council as well as a systemwide DEI council that is a priority in KVC's culture. We are disappointed we didn't get the chance to resolve these issues for you. Working at KVC is hard work but good work. I have worked nearly every job from case manager up to senior management, and have enjoyed the support, friendship, and mentorship I have received from KVC staff. Staff and leadership are supportive and willing to help. They take clinical work and care for families very seriously. If you are able to manage your time and love working with families to problem solve as a team, then this job is a great place! You get great opportunities to work with a variety of people and to learn about mental health and child welfare. The culture is supportive and fun. They take self and company improvement very seriously. Overall, I have really enjoyed my time with KVC.

Cons

This is not a con by any means but is important to know: KVC takes their work with families very seriously. Having strong ethics, good time management skills, and willingness to be flexible and meet families where they are is a must.

Large agency so payroll is always on time, company car for work related travel, mileage reimbursement, good computer system and IT dept. Upper management tries to do the right thing.

Cons

Burnout is high, on-call contributes to burnout, no room for advancement in some departments.
