      Pros

      Working with a diverse culture of staff has really helped me grow personally and professionally. I love my team and how encouraging and supportive they are. My supervisor leads by example and is very knowledgeable. The job challenges me to bring a little more to the table every day, which keeps it interesting.

      Cons

      Learning what these kids and adults have endured is tough. The short stay of the acute setting limits building those relationships.

      Pros

      The people who work here really do care to train and equip you with the tools to succeed in your job. The facility is beautiful and is built for the safety of the clients and employees. I appreciate the attention to detail within the department and am grateful for the opportunity to work for KVC Health Systems and Children's Mercy.

      Cons

      Some discrepancies between night and day staff and learning curves to be expected with opening a new hospital. The staff are helpful and will work with you though. Also, the compensation for working holidays is less attractive than previous employers.
