Pros

Amazing people to work with. The best Social Work Team I have ever worked with and you really fall in love with the company and what your role is. I loved my job but I resigned because I became a target/radar for my supervisors. I would have dedicated my life career to Kaiser, and I worked my butt off to get there. I finally had my dream job, two weeks into working their things changed. Let me just say that nit picking and never giving any positive redirection just negative feedback will break someones spirit. Educate yourselves its your key to a good job!!

Cons

You will only get hired if you know someone and if you have years experiance. There is no room to start with kasier and to be trained as you grow in your profession. Poor communication and negative feedback is given. Director goes by the manager says about you so if your not liked by the office manager your position will not pass probation. If you have adhd and struggle with any learning disabilities do not even apply!! I resigned and left gracefully but I also was bullied by the director who has a record of bullying her employees!! And she's untouchable because her partner is the CEO of my region. Any formal complaint would disappear or get" swept under the rug" And why make eniemies that could possiably hurt me somewhere down the road.

Pros

Pay and benefits, and that’s all folks. There is nothing else this corporate bureaucratic hell hole can provide you, not even good Medical insurance. Their medical plan and services leaves a LOT to be desired and a lot to be concerned about.

Cons

That’s all Kaiser has to offer, pay and benefits. I do enjoy my co-workers, but Kaiser as an organization dated. None of their systems work, they just give you more Work and a headache trying to get things done, which you won’t or only will at a snails pace. Too much bureaucracy and politics and majority of time is spent with/in meetings where absolutely nothing gets done. Time and life is wasted. It’s a soul sucking place that is fixed it it’s old ways, does not allow for creativity and growth as a professional. I’m not a machine and I’m Certainly not a slave to any salary. There is no training, management is a lost cause, and work life balance is not valued, there is no space for that. There is such high staff turnover, and many stay within kaiser, simply transferring to other departments, which speaks to a high level of dissatisfaction, yet folks are unwilling to leave because of the pay and benefits=golden handcuffs, it’s absolutely not worth it. Good luck THRIVEing while your soul is being sucked.

Pros

Great patients. Real medicine. Resource rich. Good benefits. Competitive salary. Pension plan. Industry leader. Stable group. Great doctors. Nice location.

Cons

Management is confused. Group think is alive and well here. Dissenting views are marginalized. Managers are chosen for loyalty and ambition. Data is cherry picked to support views. Unions have management tied in knots. Nursing is marginal and dumbed down by EMR. Religious people are promoted over secular.
