Pros

Free health care for you and your family. WLB. Job security, unless you're a contractor. Overall culture is extremely supportive and inclusive.

Cons

Extremely low pay. A pro was the free health care but just about any decent paying tech company would already pay you enough for you to pay for a decent health care plan. Software is second class. Mediocrity. Culture of temp fixes everywhere because contractors know they will be rotated out every few years. All good engineers I've worked with left pretty quickly.

Pros

- High hourly pay compared to many respiratory therapy positions - Time-and-a-half pay after 8 hours - Flexible per diem schedule in theory - Opportunity to gain experience in a busy clinical environment

Cons

- Per diem staff often treated like the lowest priority in scheduling - Communication around shifts can feel inconsistent - Limited sense of inclusion with full-time staff - Feeling more like a number than a valued team member
