Poor culture with a management issue

Pros

snacks in the cafeteria, some good team leaders but immature upper level managers.

Cons

Culture does not support growth. The company does not walk the talk. Upper-level managers are under-qualified. Tech employees are overworked and underpaid. Approx. 15 employees have left on their own terms in the past year due to this reason. They continue to drop off like flies for opportunities elsewhere.

Behind the times and top-heavy

Pros

A lot of the people are smart and interesting. Flexibility to work from home.

Cons

Technology is very old and outdated, and the pay is woeful. We're always chasing money and forgetting about the people. The benefits are mediocre. Either people have been here for 20 years or they last a year. Finally there's just no room for growth.

Pros

Flexibility: Most positions are 100% Remote

Cons

Constant Change: The company is in a perpetual state of flux, with frequent restructuring and strategic pivots. This creates an unstable work environment where it's hard to find a consistent direction or focus. Executive Overload: There's a noticeable trend of hiring numerous high-level executives while letting go of actual workers who contribute to day-to-day operations. This top-heavy structure leads to inefficiencies and disconnects between leadership and the workforce. Customer Neglect: Decisions often seem to be made without the customer's best interests in mind. Short-term financial gains are prioritized over long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty. Job Security: With the constant changes and focus on executive hires, job security for regular employees is always in question. Layoffs are frequent, and the remaining staff is often left to pick up the pieces without sufficient support. Poor Communication: Communication from upper management is lacking, leading to confusion and frustration among employees. There's often a significant gap between what is said and what is actually done.
