Modern employer and Marketing team
Pros
1) Good pay for positions. 2) Other good benefits: pension contribution matching scheme, they'll pay for relevant courses, rail season ticket loan 3) Marketing Team culture: annual marketing team building sessions, monthly team meetings where encouraged to share tests and learnings, willingness to trial new things and desire to be a market leader 4) Business culture: desire to be top employer, charitable 5) Manchester office: enthusiastic and friendly reception staff, good location close to railway station but may relocate soon
Cons
1) Marketing Team culture: odd structure of teams and passage of work from "Campaign team" (email, print, partnerships channels) onto others, reduces ability for other marketing team members to co-develop strategies and campaigns and is quite frustrating. Not fault of team members but structure empowers one team more than others. V frustrating if not in the empowered team. Department should have channel managers that are separate to the Product Strategy managers for harmony, smarter workflow so can grow and develop in larger strides. 2) Business culture: Tutors rule. The Product area's cooperation are central to helping Marketing grow, however this is limited at times and more frustrating than the issue above.
