Pros

Great job flexibility with work from home and travel, set your own hours and schedule, ability to take on big jobs even at a young age or with little prior experience

Cons

Work from home so do not have a ton of peer interaction, seems like the workload is never ending sometimes, salaries should be better for all the work that most employees do

Not a good company.

Pros

The students are usually great, and the product (courses) are actually quite good and in some respects easy to deliver (very scripted)

Cons

Disorganized. Buggy technology. No benefits and you don't really get paid hourly what it seems you will, because you only get paid well for teaching and there are a lot of hours outside of teaching. I worked there for years with no benefits and no path to make a career of it, although I did my job well and expressed interest in doing so. Your pay rate is based on student feedback with impossibly high standards and very little support to figure out how to get better feedback. Then if for some reason your ratings slip, you get a demotion. Everything is very convenient for the management.

PMBR Sales Rep

Business Outlook

Pros

Kaplan PMBR is a great team to work with, and they sell a quality product. Becoming a sales rep is an easy way to help yourself out by getting a free bar review course and possibly some extra cash, plus is a way to participate more in the law school environment.

Cons

A tendency to hire too many sales reps, which makes it difficult for each rep to meet his or her quota to earn his or her free course.
