Pros

- Quarterly 3-day hackathon for those in Engineering/IT - You'll work with some of the smartest people in software and marketing - Excellent professional and personal growth opportunities for those who seek it - free lunch Friday - True open door policy w/ the Exec team - I had a few "what the heck is this?" talks with the CEO and other execs. It was always an open and honest discussion where everyone got a chance to weigh in and speak one's mind, even when we didn't agree - Flexible work hours ( this depends somewhat on the position) - I see Kapost as being past the awkward startup phase, but still small enough were you can make a difference

Cons

- Things move quickly; not a place for those who are resistant to change or not used to working with a super agile company - Bonus structure can be confusing - Professional advancement is self driven, which is great, but their process would benefit from more formality and structure around this

Pros

- Many of the employees are kind, hardworking, and thoughtful - The marketing software space is interesting; many of the customers are awesome - With decent health benefits, flexible remote options, and a downtown location, work/life balance is great - Some teams are incredibly well-run, with a ton of trust and support for employees

Cons

- A company that sells marketing software doesn't invest in marketing, often displaying little empathy or respect for the work of their end users - There is, at times, a fraternity culture created by leadership, with little diversity of thought - There is neither HR nor process to ensure values are a reality. "No jerks" and "measure by results" only exist on some teams, leaving certain employees struggling to have an outlet for feedback - Pay is well below market value

Pros

Great team, culture and values.

Cons

- Some teams are understaffed and in dire need of additional resources. Management can't seem to hire and onboard quality candidates fast enough. - Tendency to overwork high performers to the point of departure and/or failure.
