Pros

Co-workers were some of the best to work with, everyone was friendly and willing to help one another in order to succeed. Work space was roomy. Good vacation benefits. Company at least tries to be accommodating in terms of ideas presented by employees.

Cons

Management (before buyout and after) was a complete mess. Too many conflicting ideas which in the end did not benefit it's employees and in the long term it greatly impacted the customer in a negative way. Employees, especially those in Sales and Support, were forced to keep customers waiting for many many days and weeks for bug fixes, some that were absolutely business impacting. Support is forced to do the jobs of tiers above their level and nearly all the time had to find work-arounds to at least give the customer, which should not be the case.

Pros

The ONLY pro to this company you will have is the gold star that says "congratulations for having a job in this economy ...... at least until the next layoff". You can ALMOST afford to make ends meet, because they don't pay enough. If you're lucky and join a product team with good people, well, there you go. Odds of that are low.

Cons

No remote work. None. Zero. This isn't a hybrid situation with room to negotiate. If something goes wrong in your personal life and you can't physically walk through the door, that's your problem. For a company operating in the IT space, the irony is not lost on me. If your car blows up, consider yourself constructively dismissed. Promotions? What are those? It's discussed. It's dangled. It does not reliably materialize. I watched people do everything right for extended periods and get nothing but a longer wait and a different excuse. If you're coming here for career growth, prepare to be disappointed. Do not trust what leadership tells you. I want to be careful how I say this, but the gap between what gets communicated in one-on-ones and what actually happens is wide enough to fall into. Verbal commitments are worth very little here. If you get promised ANYTHING, demand it in writing. If they say they can't, or won't, or "can't guarantee", take that as a No. The turnover will tell you everything. You won't have to take my word for it. Look around after your first few months. Count how many people are quietly interviewing. Count how many are already gone. The org is bleeding, and it's been bleeding for a while. Walk in and ask the nearest person what their goals are, and you will hear nothing but "I'm getting certifications so I can leave". Layoffs are a recurring feature, not a fluke. I was present for four of them. One hit global support directly. Budget a little extra anxiety for that. You will NOT survive.

Pros

They buy you food from out of office Free coffee machine SaaS experience

Cons

You are an account manager but are expected to do every job, you get 0 support. And this job heavily relies on what book of business you get. If you get the bad luck of getting a book of business that was trashed by the last AM get ready because they won’t do anything to help you.
