Pros

Not much to say here

Cons

This year the Vault Survey will not accurately reflect A.T. Kearney. The firm did not distribute the survey link to consultants in the Normal 2 or Slow Progression Tracks. The firm has 5 tracks - Fast Track 1, Fast Track 2, Normal 1, Normal 2 and Slow. While it cannot be proven, this has been determined to be a theme across at least 20 consultants from different offices and position levels. This seems ethically wrong and says volumes about the firm.

Pros

You get lots of SPG hotel points

Cons

Bait and switch - they just announced (in Feb 2014) that for 2013, that they are changing the compensation and bonus structure - so they are changing it AFTER the year has happened. They are limiting bonuses and salary increases to only the top 50% of employees, even though everyone works the same hours. The most frustrating fact is that they had us work the ENTIRE YEAR and then told us AFTER THE FACT. Many employees I know did not get a bonus or salary increase this year, only finding after they worked the entire year.

Pros

This firm is just living on its past reputation. Some of the work is good.

Cons

Worst work life balance. More often than not firm crosses the line between making people work as subordinate or "Slaves". Firm claims to be expert in Change Management for clients but itself does not know how to do change management internally. Changes to Bonus structure for previous year were announced in a conference call just one week before payout and right after the conference call, Partners called consultants to tell that they got almost nothing in Bonus. Most of the people are smart but think that everyone else is stupid.
