Going Downhill FAST!!

Pros

Most of my direct coworkers are good people and good friends.

Cons

Where do I even start...I've been with Kelly for about 3 years. Since I started til now there have been beyond HUGE changes and not for the greater good of the company. Senior management seem to be EXTREMELY DISCONNECTED from day to day operations. They are making decisions without knowing how the front line works. Team work went out the window when they started restructuring a year ago now everyone fights over orders and sales. The metrics we need to meet are ridiculous. They expect us to interview 50 people a week when we dont even have jobs for them!!! They expect quantity over quality. Kelly's ATS System (KSN) is the worst system ever created for a company. You will Never see a raise or a promotion for years and years to come. It it wasn't for COVID I would be gone! Beware of this company

They care about money, not people

Pros

Some positions offer flexible working arrangements or schedules, they are attempting to be more modern, and the benefits are decent.

Cons

They have no idea what they are doing. Things change constantly, none of the departments are cohesive or work together. They truly do not care about employing people. Their concern is to secure big money clients. They will fire you for absolutely no reason with no prior warning. Due to budget constraints, they will let people go who have been there over 10 years with no warning or even a decent severance package.

It's a job

Pros

You get to learn a lot. You get to work from home, best part. You get to move upward quickly, but not into management Better pay than most at home positions or call center positions

Cons

#1. Burnout quickly Very little to no help when an advisor asks for it with. You have to learn to do everything on your own, most team leads are placeholders and they either don't know the answer or management (leadership) tells them not to assist. HIGH STRESS No benefits to speak of. There are no paid holidays unless you work x number of hours prior to the holiday. The first year, forget it, nothing. The second year you work there, you might get a holiday paid, not if you've had to take a day off however. They take the time back if you will and you have to start over pretty much. Yes the standard call center health insurance after x number of days when you start. If you have a family or home life and that matters, probably not the job for you. The management seems to think that if you have an emergency you need to give them an hours notice before you can leave and take care of it. I really hope nobody dies because someone is terrified to lose their job and they have to choose whether or not to say I'm leaving to help my (person) or be written up and fired. Essentially, an advisor with Kelly has to tell their manager that they have to leave in one hour if it's in the middle of their shift, no exceptions. Nice, I hope your kid doesn't break an arm. Hey, hon, you have to wait an hour before I can get you to the hospital. hmmmm Kelly is a temporary staffing agency running a call center. If you go into it knowing that and understanding they have zero tools for their 'employees' to manage their 'careers', personal time off, or anything else any other company has in place you'll do fine. If you have an expectation of respect and empowerment, wrong place for you. Has totally destroyed my opinion of Apple.
