Pros

immediate coworkers and supervisors are friendly, good people who are working hard to keep a smile on their faces and make upper management happy. decent benefits.

Cons

no work/life balance. constant demand for overtime -which is mandatory. they will change your "permanent" schedule *constantly* with little regard for how it affects employees ability to care for their own families, etc. little to no pay raises. occurrences (demerits) are given for missing work, even with a doctors note. required work days are increasing while number of allowable absences continues to decrease along with a substantial decrease in paid time off. attendance policy is so sub par that many people's jobs are on the line (they are on "warnings") for nothing more than average absences due to illness throughout the year. high stress of job compounded by difficult stressful work environment. you are required to know and request what days you will use for vacation one full year in advance, but you may not know they are approved until days before hand. and if you plan a vacation, schedule time off and pay for it, and then have any sort of unforeseen event happen where you have used your available time (yes they will retract time you scheduled a year in advance to satisfy unscheduled absences) then they may force you to forgo your vacation. if you speak up about being dissatisfied, you are then reprimanded about your morale. there is an HR department but i don't know how involved they could possibly be since so many of these policies seem unethical. if this company has any morals/ethics, i have yet to see them in action for their own "employee family".

Pros

Family oriented departments make dealing with day-to-day job stresses bearable; Above average health/dental/vision packages. Supervisors that really care about their team members and want to cultivate their talents to succeed.

Cons

Tools given to employees to help make job easier/aid in productivity are sub-par; daily a system crashes/locks up/is down or ref info is too general or non existent. Upper management appears to not really care about the balance between work/personal life by changing guidelines for attendance drastically.
