This company is cheap, unprofessional, and unfair. For a company that makes an estimated 33 million dollars annually, they pay you so little that you quite literally cannot afford rent. Then when you're homeless and unable to wash your hair for work, they make fun of you. Management at Polaris is manipulative, rude, and unprofessional. They will offer you extra time off and then later hold it against you when they write you up for attendance. They expect you to bend over backwards for the salon and work at locations 6x the distance from the salon you were hired at with little to no notice, then they don't pay you for mileage. Have a family emergency? Management will write you up for trying to call off, even if you make it to the shift after they were petty and make you come in 15 minutes before your scheduled shift. The higher ups at the company want to pocket as much money as possible at the expense of their employees and clients. They do not hire adequate staff and expect employees to work OT to make up for it. They do not pay livable wages. If you want to be homeless and on food stamps, this is the employer for you.
