- Great company brand and presence in the financial industry. - Highly intelligent people / army of PhDs - Awesome office at the top of World Trade Center - Great work-life balance (9-5) - Competitive salary and stock bonus - One of the best benefit packages in the industry

- Have to take elevator twice to get to lobby - Pros can depend a bit on which team you are in

Fantastic wlb, 6 month parental leave, 4-6 weeks pto, sabbatical after 5 yrs. Not very demanding work hours/deadlines. Good benefits (100% paid for premiums).

Cons

Company is facing pretty heavy attrition due to individuals from pre-acqusistion now leaving. Every team is short staffed (by hald) it seems. The ML team got hit the hardest. Struggling to backfill important roles like Head of ML. No career growth opportunities because management likes to keep head count small. Product direction has done drastic changes multiple times in last 4 years: pre-acqs were building really ambitious projects, acquisition forced products to help S&P, and now company is looking to turn products externally. Having HR and IT attached to the monolithic abomination that is S&P can be a pain in the butt. The liaisons for those roles at Kensho are fantastic, but they don’t really have power.
