Pros

Good benefits and discouraged from working overtime

Cons

Upper management, especially the president, are completely out of touch with students and faculty. As a matter of fact, there is an air of disdain for faculty and certain colleges. This is not what I would have expected from higher ed. This is more of an autocracy.

Pros

Co-workers were wonderful. Faculty care about students

Cons

The system is a mess. Due to state budget cuts and a system that desperately needs to be restructured, there is a constant battle for adequate funding. Employees are overworked and under payed.

vacation - salary - retirement

Cons

So many to list --- management is good ( finance) to terrible -- most of the rest of the place. Everything centers about making the bosses look good and the President look awesome. Hiring is done based on ethnicity - gotta improve the diversity at all costs! regardless of any ability to DO the job!! Very bureaucratic - and a lot of red tape. Admin is afraid to make decisions - things take forever.
