Don't walk away, run away

Pros

A lot of work from home opportunities. 401k match.

Cons

There is a lot to dissect. Lots of procedures, and depending on who is reading it, what day of the week and time of the day will determine which procedure is followed. Very difficult to keep track of. All about production, it's really all that matters. Almost zero need for a college degree, any monkey can do the work. No growth opportunities, aside from being a Senior, which you are essentially doing the exact same thing as a non-senior, but hey, you get a title. 401k is lacking. the match is great, the investment choices are not. Stock purchase program is not good. Yeah, you get a good discount, but your money is locked up in the shares for a year after you buy the shares. God forbid that you want to use YOUR money before a year is up. Zero conversations about your career growth, that's entirely on you. If you're new to KeyBank and don't know anything about the other areas, you aren't getting any help in that aspect. Struggling at your job because it's just not a good fit? You aren't going to get any guidance, even if communicate to your manager. Oh well, sucks to be you. I wouldn't walk away from a Job Offer, I'd run as far away as I could. it's not a good culture, there's no work/life balance, and if you really want to grow as a person and employee, go somewhere else. KeyBank is old school, they don't want to move forward and keep up with their peers, and at some point, I wouldn't be surprised if they get bought out. Small, regional banks are a dying breed.

Pros

401k match is great, overall benefits are okay, pto and sick time are good. Work life balance has historically been great but seems to be trending the wrong direction.

Cons

The pay is below market which, combined with a drop off of company culture and increase in health benefits, has cause a large number of top talent to accept identical roles elsewhere.

Pros

Worker Culture is good Ability to move around within company is excellent

Cons

Leadership at the very top micromanages what should be done at the team manager level with a sledgehammer. They don't believe in nuance, what they say goes. Work life balance is no longer respected Only way to get good pay is to leave and come back
