      Pros

      Good pay out of university. The Sales Engineer role sets a good structure for a career in sales. Internal collaboration is good and incentivised.

      Cons

      - With each promotion you are essentially doing the same thing but with a bigger target and pay increase. - No management training. This really shows with the current management at the company. Very much lacking in people management. - There is a huge retention problem and it is not being addressed, just looking at the symptoms rather than looking upstream. There is a huge recruitment drive of graduates every year to try and solve the problem but it's not the answer. - Japanese work culture. This needs to change, it affects workers happiness and you'll never feel satisfied as management never are. - You feel like a number and after many years of commitment to the company you will be forgotten in a heartbeat. - Extremely risk averse company. Every decision takes way too long to action and implement.
