Pros
Amazing support and training from the start allows you to hit the ground running at Keyence. The company only promotes from within, meaning everyone you speak to was once doing your job. This creates a very open office environment. The products are truly market leading, which helps a lot with the sales aspect of the Job. Some people reviews complain about the number of KPI'S. In actual fact there are only a few, the rest are just indicators which highlight areas for improvement. If you are someone who wants to do well you will actually appreciate these. The bonus system is generous, and does not rely solely on sales or personal performance. This means that even if you miss your sales target but are working hard you will still be significantly rewarded. Also, there is little competitive nature to the bonus, individuals will get a higher bonus if the company as a whole performs well. This means people are actually benefit financially from helping their colleagues to do well. There is truly unlimited progression potential. You will never be at a point where you are waiting for an opening before being promoted. The company recognises potential and will go out of their way to provide opportunities to promote people if the deserve it. This means you can make decent money relatively quickly if you have the right work ethic.
Cons
The company is growing very quickly, which is great because it means smaller territories and less travel. But this also means a lot of new people are being hired. Some of these people do not always have the right mindset for technical sales, so will not make the most of the opportunity. Also, some are fresh from university, so Keyence is their first job. Some of these people flourish, whilst others are in over the heads as it can be an overwhelming first job.
