Pros

Amazing training, keyence will give you immediate respect in the industry if you have it on your resume. People will assume you know what you’re talking about

Cons

I understand the industry is mostly men but keyence has made no effort to change their old school ways and promote hiring women. they simply do not care. As a young women starting there you quickly become brainwashed into accepting some sexist behaviors from the immature new grads around you. You will work 10x harder to earn respect. The culture of the company does not care about their employees or their careers. Since leaving for a more progressive company I can say with certainty that keyence is behind on the times and is grossly mismanaged by the men that show no respect for supporting women in this industry. Also don’t be fooled by how much money they keep reiterating you’re making. It’s basically propaganda. They don’t allow you to add bonuses to your 401k contribution which also means that’s a decent amount of money that’s not matched. Overall pay is better at other companies that also provide perks.

Pros

Great pay out of college. Fun co-workers and top-notch technology. The training is spectacular.

Cons

Keyence is extremely metric based. Even if you’re excelling in most areas management will hold other metrics over your head. It makes you feel like you’re not doing a good job. This can also interfere with the actual selling aspect of the job. They want you to meet all these metrics when time could be allocated to SELLING the equipment. The job can be very difficult. If you are in a large territory expect to put a lot of miles on your car and work very long days (like 7:30 - 8 not even kidding). The job really depends on the territory you get and the manager that is above you. Some reps have great managers and awesome territories others have to deal with some of the most incompetent mangers in the workforce. Complete role of the dice.

Cons

Had an awful manager who would put in peoples head that they should be fired even if you did everything he said.
