Sales Engineer Boot Camp

Pros

- Great Training and Experience to hone your skills and get disciplined as a sales engineer - Great mentorship program (if you get a good mentor, which both of mine were) - Great first job out of college - Stable employment/job security. Very financially stable company with a long term vision/cash reserves for weathering storms (like COVID)

Cons

- Metric driven to an extreme - Luck of the draw if you have a good territory for your product line - Lots of overnight travel in certain territories - Compensation is good, but limited on your upside and it is a long grind to move up. - Japanese company and the US branch is only a sales arm. We just take orders, and the culture is that of a Japanese company.
