The reality with Kforce as is most companies in their industry and the industry they’re serving (Tech) is experiencing slow business. This means that job orders are not coming in and what is coming in is getting covered very fast by and swarmed by recruiters just trying to meet their metrics. The metrics are completely unforgiving, before I was terminated (due to not meeting metrics despite the fact that I was actually increasing my numbers in all areas [this is actually true]) none but 2 tenured recruiters were hitting the actual required KPIs that the firm set as a standard. If you’re not hitting that or not trending that way, expect to be put on a performance plan and expect to be looking another job. It won’t matter if you are an actual good recruiter who tries to do right by the clients you serve. In the battle between business and pleasing management, the latter will always win because of job security. They will tell you and train you to avoid being a transactional recruiter, meaning you are just trying to get a submission, but in reality that’s what it’s become because God forbid Kforce does a layoff, instead they systematically set up people to fail so they can terminate you instead. This happen to several of my colleagues. Favoritism does run rampant here and if you’re in good standing with management you’re in a better place, which means face time with your manager matters a ton. Also expect to work an insane amount of hours and be stressed out of your mind, the more business you acquire the harder your life will become and they expect you to work late and it will severely impact your business if you don’t.
