The motivation is to have recruiters put bodies in seats at any coast. During the recruiting phase the recruiter fundamentally misrepresented the position. While it is true that the work that was described is being completed I was place on a team doing different tasks. When the recruiter present the offer they resorted to high-pressure sales tactics including saying "if you don't accept this right now [on the phone] I'm going to go offer it to someone else."
