Kiddie Academy reviews

I was a candidate for a lead teacher at the Farmingdale location. I interviewed virtually and then was invited to come in for an observation interview for 3 hours, at the end of that observation I was asked to come in for another 3 hour observation, which I did 2 days later. at the end of that observation I was told to come in the next day from 8:30 to 5:30pm. I had gotten my fingerprinting done in the meantime. I came in the next day and had to sign the visitors log again, meaning I was not getting paid for this time either. I asked to speak to the director and was told she was at lunch and to stay until 6:30pm with no pay until the director "spoke" to me. At this point I realized that i was being taken advantaged of and promptly left at lunch. i might add that during this time I kept being called by someone elses name. it appeared no one was in charge. kids were great, management was horrible and disorganized. They never even called my references. I feel strongly they were milking me for free work. I would not send my kid here.

Low pay. Staffing issues resulted in not being relieved by my scheduled time. Ratios result in not enough 1 on 1 attention for each child and overwhelm for teachers and kids alike.
