Pros

The only positive is their flexibility with calling out sick/not being able to come in. They also do pay for trainings to maintain childcare certifications.

Cons

Benefits are not good. You only get 7-8 days of PTO and don’t accrue any over time. You do get off certain holidays throughout the year, but are expected to work Christmas Eve. 7-8 days is not good when you typically take a week worth of vacation and get sick a lot working with kids. The owner would also use your PTO without asking sometimes. We would often be out of certain cleaning supplies and materials such as: paper plates, paper towels, soap, bleach, construction paper, glue/paint, and etc. Management would often not care if we were out of supplies and some teachers would bring stuff from home. Communication is awful here. The administrators will not communicate info with the teachers that is sent home to the parents. Admin will also last minute tell you there is something you have to complete by the end of the week. We often heard news from parents instead of our higher ups. Owners and admin would often lie to parents and staff. The owners were even bribing parents to leave 5 star reviews on google in exchange for gift cards/money. Turnover rate is high. A lot of people come and go. There are also a lot of interviews being held each week. They will hire anyone, especially people who should not be working with kids. The admin team also plays favorites with staff members and gossips. They will allow certain people to take off and leave early, but will deny others. They will give extra help in rooms- such as aides to their favorite staff members, while leaving others to struggle. The admin team are not confidential, often gossiping about parents and staff. Owners and admin will tell your personal business to other employees. There is no room for career advancement here. You can work here for several years and be in the same place you started. Finally, there is no support for the teachers. You can tell the owners and admin team that you need help and are burnt out, but they will not listen. They only care about the business, not their staff members.

The management is unapproachable, micromanages, is extremely rude to staff, has "favorites", passive aggressive, unapproachable. Facility is dirty, at times not in ratio, NO advancement.
