Management was out of touch with staff. They didn’t understand that we all have lives and instead expected us to be at their every beck and call. Employees came to work sick because there weren’t enough teachers, and they kept accepting new students. Classess were over enrolled and older students were constantly sent down to younger classes to maintain ratios. Pay was crap and I was broke all the time. Owner is very negative, there’s always something wrong and it felt like she was breathing down our necks 24/7. She was fake-nice to us and then the next second would whip around and chastise us for a menial thing (usually cleaning related). Clearly cared more about profit than about the lives of the staff. Claimed they couldn’t afford to pay a living wage but the owners owned three fancy cars and a motorcycle. Meanwhile if we missed the day before or after a holiday we weren’t paid for the holiday. Oh and they didn’t pay overtime legally.

Each center has different owners that run the school the way they want not necessarily the way corporate taught them to. Some schools state they are providing all the services that Kiddie Academy advertises, however in reality many are just putting on a show and providing the minimum they can get away with. If your owner is more concerned with making a profit then you will simply be working for an extremely expensive daycare pretending to be an educational facility.
