This is a franchise business, so cannot speak for all locations, but the CT/NJ area operating team is toxic. Manipulative, deceptive, disorganized, money mongering, and ruthless in enforcement of unrealistic and frankly inhumane expectations.

Good environment to build experience working with kids in a physical education field. Other coaches are typically easy to get along with

No chance for upwards movement. Raises are sporadic at best New management at my location was poorly picked, and the GM didn’t listen to anyone’s complaints. She is not fit for management. They wont care if they run 5 other employees out due to poor toxic/abusive environments

The kids and class programs are fantastic.

Cons

They are cut throat corporate with a smile. Get everything in writing. Dont be fooled, this is not a career. They will work you and work you until they can find reasons to undermine your hard work and undercut your value. My experience was awful.. At first it was all fast tracking and promises, but once they realized I was a hard worker that wanted to prove my worth they put me in a roll to make phone calls all shift and cover classes when others called out. They were not about paying for your value and they want you to be as available and company minded as possible.
