Pros

Great brands and a large number of highly talented employees.

Cons

Change-averse, no risk-taking, no honest efforts to diversity workforce, not willing to accept "outsiders," Neenah is center of the universe, white men rule, good ol' boy network at the top, popularity is more important than performance, culture cannot tolerate any conflict, everyone pretends everything is OK all the time, "outsiders" are often ostracized, glass ceiling for women, very small number of of black, hispanic and asian employees, diversity figures are getting worse under Falk.

Pros

KC is a fairly conservative company. So, when the economy turns south the company seems to hold steady. In addition, I've had various opportunities to further my career within the company.

Cons

The downside is actually the same thing I listed as a best reason to work for KC! KC's conservative nature tends to be a negative in regards to timeliness in making necessary changes to keep up with the market and in keeping up with technology. The lack of competence in IT is a real thorn in my side!!

Pros

The company has a great brand portfolio of products that are either number 1 or number 2 in that category.

Cons

Management is definitely incompetent and employees are not always valued as assets of the company. The culture is definitely not diverse and it is very difficult to be coached for success. Employees to perform well are not always treated fairly or praised for their successes. They are also revamping their organization which inevitably leads to layoffs...definitely not a high level of job security. Multiple mills have shut down and entire departments outsourced (HR, IT, etc.).
