Pros

This is really the first employer I have ever worked for that really takes good care of its employees. They never get hung up on small little petty things and realize that employees are the key to a company’s success. A company’s success is determined by the skills of the employees, which ultimately leads to a great product. Good skills need good motivation, which comes with a good company culture and work atmosphere. Kinaxis gives a good compensation, good allowances & equipment and a fair travel expense policy. This to me speaks volumes about the CEO and the leadership. I feel very proud to be here.

Pros

I feel like I won the lottery by getting a job at Kinaxis. As a remote employee, I was welcomed and treated as if I worked in the building every day. Kinaxis always has been ahead of the curve when it comes to employees. Local employees benefit from fitness equipment, game tables, snacks, hot and cold beverages and plenty of activities. Remote employees benefit from allowances for a home office, paid work permits for working in Canada, and inclusion where possible, in company events. All employees benefit from a supportive and efficient IT staff, quick turnarounds on expense reports, a realistic and fair travel policy, funds for professional development, open access to executives and senior leadership and working in a growing and positive environment. The benefits and salaries are competitive. A new building is under construction to accommodate the rapid growth, and make available, the latest workplace technology. They may be Canada-based, but they think like a global company, always giving consideration to employees in other countries and tine zones. Leadership truly cares about employee health and satisfaction, as evidenced by how nimble and fast they were to react to current pandemic crisis. Kinaxis was already ahead of the curve on remote workers, having installed MS Teams last year, and providing people with whatever they needed to do their work from home, from an equipment and technology perspective. They truly have always embodied work-life balance, crisis aside. The company meets all of my needs, they celebrate my successes, and stand behind me. I can't ask for more than that. They are also generous when it comes to supporting charitable causes.

Cons

No company is perfect. Kinaxis is working to improve the onboarding, so new employees aren't drinking from a fire hose. Prior to the pandemic, the main building was overcrowded, and steps were taken to solve that. A cafeteria is not present in the current HQ, but that will change in the new building. As the company grows, things are taking a little longer to get done from a process standpoint. Kinaxis needs to be careful about the formation of silos in departments.

Pros

-MASSIVE growth potential (at entry-level) -Competitive entry level salary -Incredibly bright peers & mentors -C-Level leadership and transparency -Impressive product & client base -Plentiful opportunity (you wont be 'on the bench') -WFH / Remote work

Cons

-Training path needs work and takes too long in current state (lots of down time) -Resources are difficult to find/navigate: if you get stuck, you're most likely stuck until someone is free to help -Unless you are in a city with a designated office you will be working remotely unless onsite As an entry level associate in the supply chain SaaS industry, there is a staggering amount of information to conceptualize. You WILL be overwhelmed and there is no avoiding it - it might take half a year (at least) to start getting the hang of things. The software training path is relatively unorganized in its current state but its evident that the company is allocating a lot of resources to refine this path for entry level and tenured hires.
