Pros

Health benefits were good, as were the added benefits like Metro pass. Very easy to make charitable gifts through paychecks.

Cons

It was hard to get anything done because they have a set way of doing everything that wasn't a perfect fit for every program. It is easy to get lost here and feel like a cog in the big machine.

Pros

Good benefits, including healthcare, dental, vacation and sick leave. Remote work is allowed. A union shop. Many talented and hardworking coworkers. The top leaders have excellent vision for environment, social services, public safety.

Cons

Too many layers of middle management. Redundant tracking systems requiring much manual data entry. Repetitive menial tasks that should be automated. Micromanagement. Projects underfunded. Products not implemented fully according to vendor recommendations, resulting in failures. High-stress environment due to poor decisions and practices of management.
