Pros

Great Benefits, Purpose Driven Work Opportunities, Hard working co-workers, over the last couple of years making great strides in improving systems and being on the front lines of innovation. A lot of retirements are going to happen in about 5 years paving the way for advancement but must be patient until then.

Cons

Often no direct lines of advancement or mentoring and the bureaucracy that comes with any larger company.

Cons

It is important to realize that King County is very restricted, by initiatives, in the amount of revenue it can raise. That leads to budget challenges for many departments.
