Pros

Good pay, benefits, etc. Opportunity for training, use of govt vehicles, bus pass, normal hours. Coffee shop in the building, paid parking after hours, green building, healthy incentives.

Cons

Bureaucracy, lots of jumping through hoops. Hurry up and wait. Lots of disorganization, turnover, union negotiations, strange management tactics and lack of direction.

Pros

Easy work that needs to be done. Relaxed supervisors. You get to drive parts from location to location sometimes. As long as you show up on time, you do not need to worry about job security. You learn what not to do. You can make big changes here, there is a lot of work to be done if you're willing to tackle it.

Cons

Expect to learn very little about new technologies and tactics used in inventory control. Expect to run into lots of red tape. The culture here will try to make you think you can't drive change.

Got to work with a ton of different people, build partnerships all over Seattle.This organization was based out of Highline School District Schools and I got to meet people who run non profits that are affiliated with the School District.

Cons

Was an Americorps position so I wasn't making enough money to justify the long hours and high demands. Worked lots of weekends. Was relatively Thankless job.
