Great people, good mission, and pretty decent benefits

Cons

It's all the rumors about public sector. IT runs the entire county and rips off the other sections with a pricing/charging model that works well for IT, but nobody else.

Pros

King County has progressive, smart leadership. The Prosecuting Attorney's office is staffed by talented lawyers and support staff committed to doing Justice. Lawyers are given significant responsibility early in their careers and the freedom to apply their talents to the cases they are assigned.

Cons

The County often moves slowly even when leadership sets its sights on a goal. This is inherent in the checks and balances of government and the political oversight by elected officials.

Pros

The people were great to work with and extremely helpful, when I started out.

Cons

Whether you are career service, temporary, or intern, the union can only help to a point. Senior management ( some not all) appear to be looking to remove them. To some degree it is a smile in your face and work against you culture.
