Pros

Super relative; there are tons of departments and 3x as many programs. Can be a great culture but entirely dependent on the specific Department/program you're with and what you value in a work environment (autonomy in your work? remote? salary?) and your position. Fairly easy to work your way up if you do solid work.

Cons

Can be hierarchical and some departments and programs are outdated and stifling (prefer to not try new ways of working because they're too uncomfortable with change).
