Pros

Zero pay deduction for full family PPO health coverage. Based on prior rates as an engineering consultant, this is worth $10-$15K benefit when comparing salaries.

Cons

Bureaucracy is present but the immediate teams and supervisors help navigate.

Pros

King County has great benefits for their employee. 12 weeks of paid holiday for parental leave with new born.

Cons

My role was based on seniority and how long you have been with the county. It was not based on performance
