Pros

King County is viewed, across the nation, as a leader in best run government. There is a focus on delivering equitable services to all county residents. Many development and training opportunities are available. The level of benefits is superb. Wellness is encouraged.

Cons

It is important to realize that King County is very restricted, by initiatives, in the amount of revenue it can raise. That leads to budget challenges for many departments.

Pros

Flexible schedule. Hourly pay. Paid uniforms.

Cons

Great benefits - but you will need them due to exposure to public and on the job injuries.

Pros

Easy work that needs to be done. Relaxed supervisors. You get to drive parts from location to location sometimes. As long as you show up on time, you do not need to worry about job security. You learn what not to do. You can make big changes here, there is a lot of work to be done if you're willing to tackle it.

Cons

Expect to learn very little about new technologies and tactics used in inventory control. Expect to run into lots of red tape. The culture here will try to make you think you can't drive change.
