Pros
Good benefits. There are a lot highly skilled people spread throughout other departments. The mfg process is great.
Cons
A lot of cons working in the manufacturing dept “management”/“leadership” as they would like to refer to themselves are not good at their jobs. They don’t know how to promote people who are actually skilled for the job. They will make up reasons that have no effect on the work at hand. Some of these reasons I’ve heard are “personnel shouldn’t be be given a position because they use too many sick days”. Management that is worth being called leaders would know how to objectively promote people who are decent at the job and are knowledgeable.
