- Fun and interesting work
- Great coworkers
- Excellent benefits package (generous PTO, flexible in-person/hybrid/remote)
- Hourly pay
- Low stress projects, strong work-life-balance
- Relatively flat management hierarchy
Cons
- Compensation is on the lower side
- Mostly government/federally funded work. Not necessarily a con, but could be depending on your preferences

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for being part of the Kitware team! We're delighted to hear that you've enjoyed the interesting work, supportive colleagues, flexible work arrangements, and strong work-life balance.
Very helpful, well-intention people. Ready to invest in the well-being of their employees. Especially helpful towards first-generation immigrants.
Cons
If you were to believe the well-intentioned video message by the CEO you, would conclude that you're getting a job for life at Kitware. However, as the recent 11 layoffs with a 2-week notice period demonstrate, you are subject to the vagaries of the American job market just like any other company. However, you can't point this out in polite company.
