Pros

[This review is for the Livermore Casino. There are multiple managed by this company] -They will green light almost anyone, after the initial onsite interview. You are then invited to 2 days of paid training in Emeryville. ($75/day). You will be asked to drive (on your own day off) to the casino and tour it before you know if you're even hired. After 2 days of training, they then tell you if you are hired, to work at a casino in Livermore -Most of the staff is decent -Immediate response time. Applied to job and was called within a couple days. Onsite immediately thereafter. -Pay is not terrible (or fantastic, either)

Cons

-They will do a thorough background check and credit check and if you don't have excellent credit, you're not getting hired. They figure anyone who's ever had any money problems is going to rob the casino (er..?) -Many of the other people in your training class aren't the brightest bulbs.

Not worth the trouble

Pros

Decent pay for entry level positions requiring no prior casino experience. Free health insurance. Company owners make themselves available to be contacted at any time.

Cons

Not compatible with a family life. They can transfer you to any contracted casino at any time, even one hour notice, and if you refuse it will be held against you, or if you are a supervisor you could be demoted. They will give specific steps to complete to get a promotion and upon completion they will tell you need to do more. Too many people are advancing because of who they're dating or who who they're friends with, without having to jump through all the hoops us regular employees had to complete.
