Pros

Management and staff were great and supportive. Lots of company events. Room to grow if you prove you can be trusted and can learn the more complicated games.

Cons

Casino patrons can be difficult, definitely need a thick skin. OT was a common occurrence which is something you may or may not appreciate.

Pros

Good pay starting with potential to move up. Easy job with basic bottom line needs. Stress free environment in my particular card room as well. They have good communication with employees and a great open door policy with management.

Cons

Rules of the company are not universal. Night shifts in California get a differential; Florida does not. Some casinos in California have referral bonuses, Florida does not.logistics are pretty bad as in decisions are usually made last minute and the card room almost consistently runs understaffed.

Pros

Relatively well-organized, with management that seems really concerned with everyone's well-being. The owners go out of their way to meet and remember employees at all levels, even as large as the company has grown, and I really can't say enough nice things about them.

Cons

1-2 hours of overtime daily, almost all night shifts for new hires, work is mind-numbingly repetitive and boring, strictly enforced attendance and tardee policy, no vacation days accumulate until after a year of employment. They tend to only higher employees who have college degrees or hsve been in the industry for a while, but in either of those cases you can probably make more elsewhere.
