Pros

Great and admirable creative people. Lots of unique people with inspiring backgrounds. Potential to land a good opportunity for projects. Unlimited PTO and 1k if you take 5 days off in a row. Lunch at the office once or twice a week with unlimited coffee and drinks.

Cons

Good opportunities get thrown in the trash when people can’t manage the client or timelines. Was told that the management values work life balance and time to unplug hence the 1k bonus for 5 days off but in reality you’re told to work weekends, nights, and some people work through being sick. In office perks are great but only for those who live there. Remote workers don’t get anything.

Sub par benefits, they recently combined and are hiring a lot sure there is lot potential in the future when there is more synergy but for now too confusion

Pros

I have worked in the advertising and marketing industry for two decades but never for or with a place like Known. 1. Smart + Creative. The people I work with every day are by far the smartest and most creative I have ever worked with in my career. It raises the caliber of our work and services we offer every day. 2. Collaborative. While the people are smart and creative, there is also an overall culture of collaboration. Everyone knows they can succeed individually but they also know the end product will always be better with multiple minds and opinions working together. 3. Kind + humble. No egos here which is pretty difficult when you put smart and creative people all together. People are supportive and just plain nice to each other. It is pretty amazing. Also executive management truly care about the employees. Yes, we are working hard trying to build a new type of agency - but we are doing it together and management respects boundaries and genuinely cares about the people.

Cons

The company has grown (and continues to grow) very fast. We added about 250 people last year. The time has come to put in a bit more structure and policies which isnt a con but it may feel like that to some who have been here a while. Also, not necessarily a con. We work fast and hard here. This place isnt for everyone. But for those that want to build something unique with smart, creative, kind colleagues, this is definitely the place to be. It is bascially the antithesis of a holding company agency.
