Pros

Despite being retail, I was hired on as seasonal and loved every bit of it. Moved from replenishment to department associate and loved interacting with the customers. They kept me on after seasonal and I worked all parts of the store, but unfortunately the payroll was running low so they had to cut me. Would definitely go back again for seasonal or when business picks up again. Management is wonderful, the "E3's" show interest in your personal life and love to see you succeed. If you're a silent, quiet kind of person, no--you won't really receive much recognition or get to experience the full benefits of working at Kohl's. However, if you are a people person and are willing to go out of your way just to say "hi" and interact with customers/associates, you will have a lot of fun and be recognized as a person, not just a seasonal associate.

Cons

Completing all tasks on only a 4 hour shift would often prove difficult, but management understood that you could only do what time allowed for. Teamwork is key to success.

Pros

+Awesome discounts -seriously, only thing I will miss once from this hellhole. +Coworkers +SOME customers +flexible hours for college students

Cons

-MANAGEMENT, MANAGEMENT MANAGEMENT. I have had a handful of retail jobs and never have I had such disrespectful, incompetent and just plain rude management! You ask a simple question and you attitude from management. "Can I go on my break, please?" "UGH let me find someone to cover you" (30 min later and nothing). One manager actually has employees run to the starbucks across the street to get her coffee! When you need help dealing with a difficult customer, they do whatever it takes for you to take care it cause god forbid they have to walk from their office to the register. They make you stay after you're scheduled off to finish cleaning your registers. -Management will walk around and they'll see you need help, and just walk past you while you have a line of customers. -Not enough coverage. Im not joking. They scheduled me once on a Saturday form 2 to 6 without any backup. -Customers always right. You have to give to customers every whim. I advise for anyone who is thinking of applying, PLEASE DONT. Unless you really really need it.

Pros

Great management. If you're willing to work hard you will be rewarded. They are a stable company that is growing fast.

Cons

I never knew on which days I would be working until a week or so before. It was difficult to change my hours or plan for personal events. I feel I was often ignored as an intern and just given jobs that they needed done, not ones that would further my professional development.
